The quintessential pickup set to capture the spirit of the 1960s Strat®. Not only do they sound like the pickups of the 60s, these pickups even look like the period issued specimens! Perfect clarity but with the famous 60s bite that plain enamel delivers, it's that classic '60s tone!

This set offers a nice balance of highs, punchy lows and a hint of mid range, just like the pickups from the summers of love. The period correct constructions delivers vintage warmth like all Planet Tone pickups, where you can expect vibrancy, tonal dynamics and that true 60s life! The set comes fully calibrated to offer a superb balance of tone in all three positions, perfectly highlighting the nuances of your Strat®. You will also find that incredible “quack” that Stratocasters® are known for coming from those famed “notch” positions.

The middle is RW/RP (Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity), to offer hum canceling in positions 2 and 4 of your 5 way blade switch.

Best pickups

Wow , just wanted to say thank you I purchased a set of Strat pickups don’t know exactly which ones I purchased , when I first got the pickups I put them in a guitar at first wasn’t pleased removed them but recently I put them in a 70s stratocaster did a little tone mod to the switch playing threw a 70s peavey tube amp , wow amazing tone still can’t believe the sound these pickups have , so thank you once again !!!

63-65 Classics

Installed the neck and middle with the Supremacy HD bridge (seperate review) in an AM Pro II. These pickups are exactly what I was hoping. I wanted balance and warmth. They have a great percussive quality when you dig in a little and are super smooth when you're just gliding over some chords. If you've played the Elite Pro V set, think of them but dialed back to around 8. Slightly less hot. Still really robust as far as versatility. Really happy with these. I wanted the slightly less mid pushed sound for this guitar and they deliver. PT delivers again!
