Love that mini humbucker tone? Made famous by so many guitar greats! Lots of punch in a small humbucker size! Great for guitars like the Firebird or Tele.
The neck offers amazing clarity with low end punch and high end dynamics. Great for rhythms and lead work. The bridge has lots of driving power without being over the top. Nice compliment to give both sweet leads as well as incredible rhythm tone, especially with your favorite overdrive settings in the mix.

Mean Mistreater mini
Looked great and was easy to install. Super bright but sounds great, swapping out my capacitor from a bumble bee to an orange drop to tame the high end about. So far I’m definitely digging it!
Best of the best
Sound is just perfect for me , I’ll try different genres ,different rhythms and OMG I love it. And I have the Regale Royale too so now I don’t know which one is better (hahaha).
Tone for DAYS and exceeds expectations!
I finally got the Mean Mistreater mini-humbuckers installed in my Epiphone '62 Sheraton Re-issue 335 style guitar. WOW. These pickups are exactly what I was hoping for. I'm just an intermediate bedroom player, but I've done a handful of pickup swaps on other guitars and it always turns into a rabbit hole and I usually only find a set I'm happy with on the 3rd or 4th try, or not at all. It can get very expensive and time consuming. Since this is a semi-hollow, I had these installed by my go-to tech at Gryphon Guitars in Palo Alto, CA and also upgraded to 500k coil tap pots. I first plugged into my Fender Blues Jr IV and my 1979 Fender Champ. FINALLY! For the first time I have a neck pickup on this guitar that I absolutely love. Gorgeous feel and tone with just the right amount of push. The bridge pickup is equally beautiful, but at first strum on these amps I was afraid the bridge pickup didn't have enough output. WRONG. That view was quickly changed when I plugged into my marshall JTM inspired Tone King Royalist 15W. HOLY COW! This is what I'm talking about. This guitar previously sounded pretty good with the original Gibson A2 magnet mini-hums, but I was always annoyed with just a bit too much brittle high end on the bridge and the neck pickup was pure mud. Your PlanetTone Mean Mistreater mini-hums smoothed out the high end, but improved articulation and tone. There is PLENTY of push with these pickups and this amp and it sounds incredible. What I also didn't expect was that while this amp gets dirty quick, I'm still able to effectively use the previous amp gain setting, but also use a much higher sweep of the gain knob and now my tonal options have expanded. I'm pretty blown away. Thanks so much not only for the killer pickups in design and build, but also for your stellar customer service email response and follow-up. A great experience all around. This makes me want to get another Tele with the sole purpose of installing a bridge Regal Royal pickup to try it out:) Have a great Christmas and New Year's. I will try to post this review on your website, but I wanted to reach out to you directly. Bravo and cheers! --Dwayne San Jose, CA
