Whether single coil or humbucker, the 1959 pickup has been sought after as one of the most recognized for its majestic vintage tone. We have made every researchable effort to replicate this magic pickup and make it one of the best on the market!
Constructed of period correct materials right down to the maple spacers, this pickup delivers! The tone is unapproachable and will easily captivate your ears with that amazing balance of highs, mids and bass response yielding unprecedented vintage tone. The pickup is made with enamel wire and alnico II magnets, to give a tone just like back in the day.
The alnico II magnets ensure long lasting sustain as today’s hotter magnets can rob that cherished characteristic. The enamel wire delivers that vintage bite your instrument will love you for. Please Note: Covered pickups are extra and optional.

Just What I Wanted
The sound was just what I needed and looked for on a custom re fit build for my Firefly Les Paul . Fantastic Customer Care in helping me decide and fit my needs for my unique installation. I will continue to be a customer. These are one of the best Pick ups to date for me and I have tried allot from the name brand to unknowns . Pricing could not be fairer!
Epiphone Nouveau
Thanks, guys, for the pickups and a huge improvement over the previous ones. This is not a common guitar as if I remember, Gibson Nashville in the mid 80's made only 26 after they got in a tussle with PRS and had to quit making them. You can see the similarity. (Epi on the left Prs on the right). Originally it had Bill Lawrence pickups and one quit on the previous owner, so he put in Duncan triple rails. Since I have a lot of single coil guitars, I just wanted this one back to basics with a couple of humbuckers. Installed very easily and I put in a vintage paper & oil capacitor. Sounds like it should! I am getting more of your pickups and upgrades to several guitars I have. Thanks again. Peter
59’ Specials
TONE. These were exactly what I was looking for. For reference they replaced a Thornbucker set which are fantastic in their own right (and sound great in my Les Paul), but the A5/A4 wasn’t giving me the singing lead tones I was looking for in my PRS 594 Thinline. (Think SG). Harmonically juicy, articulate yet fat in all the right places. They split really well too, in the PRS coil tap you only lose a little low mid and output to bring out more spank and shimmer. Tempted to put these in everything.
