The Elite Pro pickup set is the ideal set for the musician who wants something that has the warmth and dynamics of a vintage pickup but with an edge and flavor that is distinctive and noteworthy. A pickup set that turns heads when played clean and opens jaws when pushed with gain.

The set offers tone that is dynamic and yet uncanny in flavor. The Elite Pro set offers warmth, vibrancy and dynamics mixed with a tone voicing that is hard to, not only describe, but hard to beat. One can say its the perfect hybrid set between '50s and '60s, yet its more. A set that must be experienced!

The neck is wound perfectly to 5.8k much like a traditional '50s pickup by with just a few extra winds to give the pickup flavor with a thick robust tone, great for fat creamy leads or bigger rhythm but does not lack that high end clarity or chime. The middle pickup is also calibrated, wound RW/RP for hum canceling and balanced to give a good compliment to both the bridge and neck pickups. The bridge is slightly overwound to 6.65k, mild by today's standards, yet bold and powerful for great lead tone or creamy blues solos!

Choose from Alnico V magnets (for more drive) or Alnico II magnets (for more sustain) or go for Alnico II at neck and middle with Alnico V at bridge for a total versatile and modified custom shop experience. These are wound with our special Heavy Enamel Natural Copper wire to give this pickup that perfect 50s/60s warm hybrid tone!

More Strat then a Strat!

So far they seem to just what I was looking for. Fender sound without Fender price. Makes my Stratocaster more of a Stratocaster. These are better then the original Pickups by far. I want to try some tele type next. I have a neck pickup out of a Jimmy Page Telecaster and I am sure a Planet Tone T type Bridge would fill the bill to pair to it.

Perfect Strat sounds

Bought this set to replace a cool rails bridge and a random middle and neck pickup in my 2009 MIM stratocaster with a maple neck. I wanted to go back to a classic strat sound, and WOW did this set of pickups get me there. This set is not too hot and offers no breakup from the pickup alone, just clear clean glassy strat tones in all positions. The RW hum-cancelling middle is especially welcome, and the tone has that glassy sparkle that was missing from my other pickups. Paired with a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue or a Twin, I'm in guitar nirvana. Runs well through any amp I've tried so far. Does exactly what you want out of a strat, from Stevie tones to hard rock 80's stuff. Don't be afraid to mess around with pickup height outside the normal range. These pickups are dynamic and will do what you want. UNBEATABLE for the price. Now I'm looking for other opportunities to get Planet Tone pickups installed in other guitars. HELLO telecaster build!!
